- If you select “New Industry Category”, enter your own industry description in the box provided.

Note that if you use the import template for entering a company, you can enter a custom industry simply by typing it into the Industry field.
To add an industry for a fund:
- Go to Portfolio Management and select the tab for Funds.
- Create a new fund by selecting the button for “Add Fund” or edit an existing fund record by selecting the pencil icon in the appropriate row.

When you enter a custom industry, it will appear as part of the portfolio diversification charts in the Portfolio Analysis section of your Seraf account. And, Enterprise account holders can use the Custom Analysis tab in Portfolio Analysis to filter under Entity Characteristics for industry across both companies and funds, as long as the industry is identical for both.
