If one of your companies was acquired, you will need to add an "exit" Transaction (i.e. Stock Sale, Note Redemption or Note Conversion, Stock Swap, Contingent Assignment) for each round you participated in. Seraf has an exit tool, found on the Investment page of the company's profile, to expedite the process of creating the proper "exit transactions" for you depending on which type of security you hold in a company. Learn how to record an exit in Seraf depending on the type of exit you have.
Clarify with the company the exact terms of the sale and what they mean for you as an individual investor. Keep in mind that you may need to set up an Escrow Assignment if cash is being dispersed over time.
When making your own entries, be sure to check off the Exit Transaction box in the transaction form to ensure that your investment appears in the Exits & Returns table.
