Seraf's Enterprise clients who subscribe to the Currency module are able to add investments in multiple currencies. Once you've added to your account the currencies you'll be investing in, you'll be able to add currency specific information to each company, round, and transaction as well as each investment fund you've invested in.
When you add a company or an investment fund you can specify in that record the Investment Currency which is used to make investments in that entity. There can only be one investment currency for each company or investment fund. If no currency is selected, then your account's default currency will be chosen for you.
For each round of investment, you can enter for each relevant field the amount in the investment currency, such as the share price for a stock round, the conversion price for a convertible note, or the pre-money valuation, total amount raised and post-money valuation.
Subsequently, for each transaction, you can enter the Local Amount, FX Rate (exchange rate) and the Amount converted into your account's default currency, or any 2 of the 3 fields and the system will calculate the third once the record is saved. In general, the system will automatically convert the value of one currency to the other based on the exchange rate.
After you Update Calculations, you will see your investment converted into the default currency in most tables and charts so that it can be included in the total value of your portfolio.
