To streamline the collection and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Seraf Enterprise customers can request KPI updates directly from portfolio companies using an email request process with an embedded form. Emails can be sent individually to each company contact, or in bulk to multiple at once, providing flexibility to customize emails.
After you have selected KPIs to track across your entire portfolio and/or specific to each company, you can then send an update request via email.
To request an Update from a portfolio company or multiple companies simultaneously:
- Go to the Request Updates tab in the KPI section.
- Select the company or companies from which you'd like to request updates.
- Click the "Request Update(s)" button.
- Customize the update request email, following the instructions on that page.
- Click "Next".
- Confirm the recipient(s) and send the request.
The first time you request an update, Seraf will automatically generate a custom URL for each company which includes an entry form with the KPIs requested and a free form text box to provide a written update about the company's performance. For security purposes, the URL expires after 3 weeks or after 5 updates have been recorded.
As a result, you may need to periodically create a new KPI Update Request Link. You may also use the KPI Update Request Link to request KPIs by copying and pasting it into your own email program and sharing it with whomever you'd like to make entries.
